Cyon was a prince, but bored in his home palace. Out of this boredom, he left his home to travel around.
He never had a goal, he just went in one direction and continued on until he felt like going another way.

One day, he met a giant, who was startled by the prince's strength. Cyon told the giant he was capable of doing whatever he wanted to do and the giant dared him to get an apple of the tree of life, which was guarded by wild animals in a garden nobody could find.
Cyon left the giant and soon found the garden by mere luck. The wild animals were sleeping, so Cyon took an apple and left, but one lion awoke. The lion was friendly, amazed by Cyons character, and followed him back to the giant.
He gave the apple to the giant, but the giant didn't want a human to know of this secret and decided to kill the naive prince. The giant cut out Cyons eyes and tried to kill him, but the lion jumped between the prince and the giant. He was barely able to defend his friend, but Cyan got away alive.
Even though Cyon was blinded, the loyal lion did not leave his side, but continued to travel with him. Cyon gave him the name Usama.
