Beelzebub always wanted a family - and, for a while, she thought she had one. Her mate, who is no longer alive, had gotten what he wanted from her, and betrayed her, breaking her heart in the process. Said dragon only wanted a child to raise into a powerful mage to do his dirty work, once he died. He'd left the clan shortly after Beelzebub gave birth to their only child, Azazel; the rest had died before they could hatch. Beelzebub did her best to raise a child as a single mother with a busy job, and got the help from a few friends along the way. Still, she never realized her former mate's ways would still be influencing Azazel, even after his death.
