Notes regarding design: Sasha is an OC for a book I will probably never write so some of his design elements aren't obvious in the dragon I made for him. Sasha's magic is actually a golden color but I changed it to purple on FR to match the site themes for magic. It still has the same magic circle and runes theme to it, just in a different color, if you'd like to go with purple that's fine too though :) His eyes are still purple-grey though

Beneath the Mountain (lore WIP?)
Sasha's footsteps echoed eerily in the main hall of the ancient library. The clack of claws on polished stone bounced off the ceiling hundreds of feet above and echoed so many times in the small grottoes that at times he was certain the sound of his walking was actually that of another dragon behind him. The rows upon rows of shelves certainly would provide ample hiding spots for any pursuer, even an especially clumsy one.
Shaking his head to clear it of such paranoid thoughts Sasha chided himself for his foolishness, the library had stood empty and buried miles beneath the world's surface since the second age when it had been sealed away at the Arcanist's genesis. The only dragons to be found this far into the Lightweaver's domain would owe their allegiance to her anyways, and while he was not born of the Lightweaver's elemental power, the Sunbeam Ruins were his home.
Admittedly, at the depths he had descended into the bowels of the earth, it hardly seemed fitting to consider it the Sunbeam Ruins anymore. A dragon of Dragonhome would be most comfortable here, and even one of the Shadowbinder's sneaky minions would have a considerable advantage navigating the corridors and rooms that would be pitch black if not for the soft glow of his spells.
Only an arcane dragon, however, could follow the energies he was; no other flight would have felt the tug of a magic so deep and shielded by the layers upon layers of earth. And while that meant he was the only one to tread this dusty library's halls since an era long gone, it also meant that if something were to happen he would die alone, never to be found for thousands of years, if not lost until the end of the world interred his bones in their dusty grave.
Volumes of knowledge from a bygone era vanished slowly into the darkness behind him. The fiction section with the dreams and fantasies of a lost race was swallowed again by the inky void. The history section, with its tales of the peoples' triumphs and woes, once again saw naught but black as he continued past it. It was not until he reached the category on magical texts that Sasha paused and turned away from the direction of the magic's draw, brightening the werelight floating beside him.
He had to lean closer and brighten the magical werelight further to read the age-worn categorization guide, but when he found what he was looking for he turned with new purpose towards the shelves of artifacts that were barely illuminated by the glow of his spell. The faeries surrounding him tittered in excitement as they approached the looming wall of items.
