Eyes of hell, and slithering skin, demons at my doorstep. Won't you let them in, Serpent Herder, the wandering souls. Through the fields they dance, in the fires below

Broken wings and bitter sobs- that's what she is and will always be.
You can hear her crying in the night, the shadows are her home.
Though when you dare get close to her, her crying will turn into snickers, her empty eyes and white pupils staring right into your soul and her fangs showing in a wide grin.
And before you can run, she has already caught you.

Fangs flash in the darkness, bright white against the growing dusk. Shadows like tears drip down her face, staining the ground beneath her. Childish giggles echo from all directions as she flits in and out of sight. Hatchlings whimper at her presence, but it’s the screams she likes – the pure, unadulterated fear. Sometimes she toys with them, thriving on their cries. Others remind her too much of a time she has lost, a time when her heart used to beat. Those, she whisks away never to be seen again.
The moon is only just rising in the sky. The night is young, and so she hunts.
