The sun has settled in Cryanas eyes. It might not be technically true - in reality her eyes blaze the soft green of ancient woods and druidic power - but it's still just true. No one who'd met her would dare try to deny She's gentle and caring. Loud, fierce and unapologetic in her loving, but with a soft heart and soft hands. And there's light within her. She utilizes this light in her work. She's a powerful magician and every last slip of her talent is poured into her one true passion; flowers. She and her wife live aboard The Great Machine, travelling far and wide over the land. Physo trades her wares, Cryana grows them herself. She works closely with the gardener, Char, but his talent lies in making things grow and thrive, she enhances. Covered in her light, in her gentle claws and under her skilled care, flowers become more stunning than they ever could without her. Sometimes she just makes them bloom with clearer colors, more wild shapes and bolder patterns, other times she gets creative. Flowers glowing in the twilight, flowers taking the shape of miniature firework fired from the stilk, flowers smelling like chocolate or raindrops. Imagine it and she can bring it into being. |
She always have a hard time letting her creations go. It's tough for her to cut them, but making the bouquets brings her joy beyond measure. She sells them in Physo's stand (and places a flower behind her love's ear and a kiss on her forehead, now she's there for delivery anyway) and there's rarely flowers left when night falls. She adores seeing the happiness her creations bring. Physo's had to ban her from hanging around the stand too long, or she'll cave and give away flowers for free to any lovestruck youngster wanting to give their love a flowering present. So she wanders the streets of the cities they visit. She might be a little shy and reluctant at first, not very sociable at first glance, but she love to just look. To witness all the joy and life around her. It's her biggest inspiration in her work. When their journey from a new town continues she'll often be found by Aries, the living garden,'s side, growing flowers in the colors of the place they just left behind, inspired by the architecture, the fashion or the people themselves Cryana creates and Cryana loves. She’s been so concentrated on her work, she nearly falls over in surprise when Aries speaks. ‘She loves you’ the orange coatl mumble, her dark eyes intelligent and intense. She gathers her composure as Aries go back to sleep. ‘I know’, she smiles and returns to her work
The rain clings to her claws when she cups her face and kiss her wife for the first time. Her wife. She keeps her eyes closed and smile into her mouth. She feels ready to burst from happiness. Behind them, she hears the Conductor shout a trembling ‘finally!’ |
She rolls over in the first, pale sunlight and looks at Physo. Her soft jaw, her closed eyes, her chest rising and falling quietly. She prays it wont wake her up and leans over to place a kiss on her forehead
‘This is a hydrangea’ she explain, carefully picking it up. Croc listens with big, curious eyes as he clings onto her shoulder. ‘And this?’ she holds up the bouquet so he can see better. ‘Sunflower!’ he screeches, recognizing them. She places the yellow flowers in his little hand. ‘Go find Luca and give her these. They’re her favorite’. |
