The earth shifts, slowly, imperceptibly; a mound grows out of the pink and brown earth of Arcane, and the clay and soil fall away to reveal a creature- of similar shape enough to the Coatl that there should be little suspicion in anyone's mind as to the true nature of this one.
It means to bring Lepida back to the underworld, unaware that Lepida's spirit, in fact, has not yet been untethered to the mortal realm. There is a soul which it does need to bring back, of course; but this spiral is not the bearer, merely another strange undying creature in the same region. In fact, it ought to be looking for Rubinrot, but it cannot tell with ease which of the undying things are the undead, and which are simply not yet able to die.
It cannot harm Lepida, despite its belief that Lepida is the escaped soul, due to the strength of the life magic that surrounds the Spiral dragon.
