Lazuli
|| Caretaker || Guardian of the Little Ones ||
"Hey! Heeey, I'm talking to you! Are you even listening?"

Lazuli was born in a clan on the edge of Wind territory but when she was only one day old, a massive twister picked her up and carried her across the ocean to a Nature clan, Mosscairn. She was badly injured but was watched over by some nesting mothers and soon made a lifelong friend in Galvin, a slightly older hatchling Spiral, who eventually became her mate. Lazuli loves nothing more than to chatter at Galvin for hours at a time, going on about anything and everything that crosses her mind, even after he's fallen asleep. She helps her mate keep the small dragons in Frolicking Fields safe and fed. She loves long, flowing silk garments, incense, and making her familiar "kiss" Galvin's familiar. She also has a weakness for lapis lazuli gems, which is how she got her name.

"Now kiiiisss," Lazuli crooned as she pushed the snout of her Tropical Caiman into that of her mate's Butter Caiman. The two familiars didn't react, only blinked and sat there unmoving. "Aww look Galvin, they're in love!" she trilled.

Galvin smiled at her sleepily and yawned, exaggerating the expression with his mouth open wide. "Is it time for a nap yet?" he asked lazily. Lazuli ignored him and continued to press the two caimans' mouths together, making little kissy noises each time. Her mate was always prepared for his next nap but her brain was buzzing with activity, just like the Big Field was buzzing with little Aethers zipping back and forth in some sort of game that only they understood.

"Galvin, we should host a wedding!" she said suddenly, jumping to her feet, green eyes shining. "We could make them little outfits and make a cake and a big banner and and-" she continued on, listing every single wedding item that she could think of in a single breath, while her sinuous body began coiling around itself in her excitement. Galvin curled up around his mate, wrapping his cream colored tail around her blue one, and resting his chin on her foreleg. His eyes drooped shut but Lazuli continued on, humming excitedly in between words.

"Hey! Heeey, I'm talking to you! Are you even listening?" Lazuli felt her voice rising shrilly above the endless chatter of Aether voices nearby. She sat up and snorted indignantly at her mate, who was dozing peacefully while coiling around her. Moving closer, she laid back down and nuzzled his cheek. "So anyway, yesterday Imogen told me-"
