Biography

THE ALCHEMIST

Jem--an alchemist and war veteran. Used to be a medium-level battlemage, but after the war the need for alchemists shifted, and there was no need for her kind anymore. She now wanders the forests in search of work slaying creatures and alleviating pain using her combat skills and knowledge relating to potion-making.

Though she has lost the motivation that made her so valuable an asset in the war, she found a new purpose in her Familiar, Blink--named for the strange orange eyes that watch vigilantly from his place at Jem's neck. Blink's origins are shrouded (lol) in mystery--he himself doesn't remember much aside from a mysterious woman and the feeling of the icy ground where Jem found him. He is desperate to uncover his history, and Jem has a deep sympathy for his struggle, and so the pair go through life searching for information to try to piece together Blink's past, bit by bit.
