Biography

This lovely lad WAS a typical Guardian hatchling, and his charge? His lairmate and best friend. They were fast friends, and nearly inseparable. Buchanan was always there to lend a hefty guardian bitchslap to the fights the strong-willed Fae got into. And when a combination of arcane magics and lightning technology changed that little fae into a guardian well and truly capable of defending himself, well, Buchanan was there to help him learn the ropes of his new form, and to follow him into battle. He was still Buchanan’s charge after all.

But one battle didn’t go exactly as planned, and Buchanan was felled by members of a large enemy clan. His wings torn, he was sent plummeting out of the sky. When he woke next, he was in a Lightning lair, tied down, with an Arcane flight dragon perching over him, clucking to herself. He didn’t know what happened to him there, but the next time he woke, he was missing a forelimb, and everything felt wrong. Again, he tried to find an answer, only to feel magics putting him back to sleep.

The next time he woke up, all he knew was that he was cold, but it didn’t hurt him. When he caught sight of his reflection, it made sense, of course. He was ice flight. The cold didn’t bother him. He felt there was something strange, but… he didn’t remember what. The wildclaw dragon flexed the metal of his left arm, the prosthetic a replacement for a lost limb. The epitome of Lightning technology.

He would be a good weapon with this.

(Now Buchanan follows clan Ge-Rouge, the plague flight patriarch taking some twisted pleasure in setting the cold ice-flight dragon on his foes.)

Buchanan doesn't talk much, settling more for cold, murderous stares and violence to speak for him.
