Biography
The town's recordkeeper.
A little bit of a romantic, Tairayak was always drawn to keeping memories close; both personal ones, and those of others. He long traveled Sornieth, stopping in a town for a week or so, recording everything from stories he was told to events he witnessed, and then packing up to fly to the next place.
Originally, he'd planned to do the exact same thing in Haven, which was then only a stop for rest to most travelers. He spent much of the two weeks he stayed chatting with Mirth, hearing of Haven's and her own past, along with the future she was working towards. Once the time came to leave, Tairayak bid her farewell, she said something that stuck with him:
At the time, he'd smiled and nodded, unsure that he would really do so. But in the weeks, even months following; the hamlet and its charismatic, tenacious founder's words, really stuck with him. He couldn't help but feel as though he'd walked away from history in the making; like he'd let a crucial record go unwritten.
Eventually, the notion became unbearable, and he hopped from village to village, asking for directions. At last, he arrived at a tavern on the edge of a small but lively town. Upon asking the bartender the name of the town, he was told,
Sure enough, the small, unassuming hamlet he'd once stopped at had grown beyond recognition. On that realization, Tairayak knew: great things were destined to be in this town. And he would be history's witness of it.

"Do be sure to come back," she'd given him a confident smile, "There'll be much more to write of."

"Why, this is Haven. We don't get many guests who don't intend to be here."
