Short Stories:

Meyry wrote:
When being sent to the Dreaming Pisces for a small ‘visit’ (drop off), Delaluna and Synth were led by an Imperial into the library, meeting another Imperial and two odd Spirals, one of them seeingly very familiar.
“Worry not, dear, we take good care of our guests here~”, the first Imperial assured her as she gave the Skydancer some apparel, “My name is Bay, our other friends in here are Epithymia, Frazzle, and Vortex,” she explained, swishing her tail at each one.

She didn’t have much interest in the Spirals around from all of the ones in her home, but the Imperial she sees before her doesn't seem to fit in - aside from her striking orange, black and white colors not fitting anywhere, her eyes seemed almost sad, even lost, but hid that away by a soft voice and sweet smile that soothed the elder's scales. It bugged Delaluna ever since then, the feeling the stranger gave off and why the poor thing never left. So after some time, she decided to have a talk to Epithymia.
“Excuse me, Epithymia right? I have a question for you, if you don’t mind answering it.”
The soft-spoken dragon perked up from her scroll and nodded a bit with that sweet smile, “I won’t mind, I love to answer questions.”
“Why do you still stay here? I can see you sulking behind that smile, you're not even hiding it well.”

Surprisingly the Imperial seemed to be struck like being bit on the tail, then a worried frown slowly while glancing around the lair, “Well...it’s because, I’m honestly fearful of what’s to come if I travel, I just had a goal to find or be adopted by one Clan, and that would be the end of it. But you’re the first to ever see through my disguise, and I always thought I was born to be a Shadow elemental then since no one else ever mentioned it.”
Delaluna frowns too, in annoyance at the last part, “Probably because they think you’re too soft and will break down into tears because of your pitiful façade. I have a feeling you're pretty strong.” She pauses in thought, then smiles grabbing an empty scroll and an ink bottle nearby. “Here, how about this? Go find another Clan, maybe an Arcane one, and see if there’s any specialized healers in there, I think that job suits you the most, not some trashy wish-maker,” the Spiral explains - the last part indirectly pointed at YgroFidi - while writing it down, then hands it to the pretty Imperial. “If you do come to our Tribe, I’ll be glad to help you learn about the basics of medicines.” Please come.

Slowly nodding, Epithymia holds the scroll close like a special treasure, gratitude reflecting off her watery eyes. “Thank you so, so much.” She purred with a warm smile at the Spiral, who's heart leaped in response. With one last look around the library, soon the Imperial thanked Delaluna again for the boost of confidence, and leaves the Dreaming Pisces to find another Clan.
Synth left first, Delaluna didn't talk to any of the other dragons after Epithymia left. Even while reading the scrolls provided by Bay she often got distracted by thoughts of that conversation. Thoughts turned into guilt and agitation, cursing at herself for not being braver.

A few days later Delaluna was sent back home, Bay watching from the entrance as the spiral slipped away and softly chuckles, “What an interesting lady, I’m glad she helped with my plan.”
