Biography
Monet was known well in the Circus. He always did acts with juggling, and the crowd loved him. Monet started this career years ago, when, as a hatchling, he always grabbed a nearby object and attempted to throw it into the air and catch it. This behavior caused his mother’s prized trophy to break in half. Eventually Monet learned how to properly juggle objects, including but not limited to: Knives, Pearls and even Cats. A local Circus owner noticed the skill of the young dragon, and he bought Monet for 30 Thousand Treasure.
On a trip to the Wind Flight for another performance, Monet found himself dozing off on top of the circus caravan. Despite being popular with the crowd, a fellow circus dragon absolutely despised Monet. This dragon found their way to the top of the caravan where Monet was sleeping, and shoved him off the roof. Monet tumbled on the ground for a solid thirty seconds before eventually falling into a river. Hours passed, and despite all odds, Monet awoke at the side of the river. Beaten, wet and having slept surprisingly well, Monet had to find his own way to the Wind Flight. As he wandered through the wasteland, he noticed multiple feral Plague dragons watching him. The dragons seemed to be looking for a meal.
Monet spent a long time wandering the Scarred Wasteland, watching the feral dragons feast on their meals. He walked through the wasteland until he found a dragon who dressed in a fancy way. “Hey, I could use some directions” Monet asked, hoping that he would get an answer.
“Where do you need to go?” The fancy dragon asked in return.
“I need to go to the Windswept Plateau.” Monet replied, “Do you know how to get there?”
“Yeah, sure I do” The dragon said, he invited Monet to follow him. As the two dragons traveled across the Scarred Wasteland, Monet found himself entering a cave, where multiple dragons dressed in tuxedos stood.
“Who have you brought here?” A powerful guardian asked.
“No idea. Introduce yourself, new guy.” The plague dragon said.
“I’m Monet.” Monet replied, “I’m with the Circus of Light. I’m supposed to be in the Windswept Plateau.”
“I see.” The Guardian said. “So how about you entertain us. Here’s my offer, you entertain us correctly, and I’ll show you how to get to the Plateau. However, if you do a bad job, you aren’t getting out of here.”
Monet accepted the offer, and began to juggle with knives that he found lying around. The dragons watched as he threw the knives in a circular motion, catching each one perfectly. However, none of them seemed impressed by this act. After an hour of juggling the knives, Monet caught all of the knives, and took a bow. The guardian didn’t seem impressed.
“You call that entertainment?” The Guardian asked, furious at Monet’s skill.
“Yes, sir. It’s what I’ve been hired to do.” Monet replied with confidence.
“No!” The Guardian said, “This is unacceptable! You will be punished for wasting my time!” After these words were uttered, Monet found himself being shot at with fireballs from every dragon around him. Eventually, Monet was nothing but ash on the floor of the cave. The Guardian ordered for the mess to be cleaned up, and went outside to explore the wasteland...
