Biography

. .
"What good is all the power in all the world if you have nobody to fight for?"

A flighty, energetic and excitable dragon, Ophelia's dogged intent to make friends with pretty much everybody she meets led to the foundation of Clan Kopas. When she isn't checking up on all the clan's goings-ons and flitting between other members of her family, she can usually be found on her life partner Bastion's shoulder, quietly talking to him about all the things in the world they both think about.

Ophelia grew up alongside Bastion, both abandoned eggs in Arcane's outlands. They both survived to hatch through some minor miracle (that neither of them talk much about). Having only met other dragons after their childhood together, they understand a great deal of each other's breed-borne traits, Ophelia forming deep connections with other dragons and Bastion knowing the language of her frill and emoting to her in their own secret language. Due to Bastion's influence, she may be one of a few Fae who do not seek out the extensive company of a Fae colony, instead bonding with the many different dragons who she meets.

Despite her Fae-borne difficulties in interpreting and understanding other dragon's body language, she's quite good at quickly determining what they like to talk about, and her ever-present interest in others means even the most stoic dragon can be known to carefully open up to her. Her clanmate Tucana teases her for the fact that this could be a great tool for manipulation, blackmail and subterfuge - if only she didn't genuinely care so much for all the friends she makes.

Her usual jaunts outside of Kopas's lair find her at open debates on magic at clan trade meets and assemblies in Arcane territory, making a bright spot among drab arcane researchers and the occasional fiery would-be-magister upstart. She takes a special amount of pleasure in flitting around the crowd, finding those who support her positions and making quick friends with them, often inviting them to visit Clan Kopas to see her research. Some friendships made this way end in new members of the Clan, and she believes her family is made all the better for it.
