Kida was found as an egg alongside Calcifer by Natira in an abandoned lair on the border between the Tangled Wood and the Scarred Wasteland while she was traveling with Tucana and Periun on the way to Clan Kopas for the first time. The two were the only surviving eggs of the expansive lair, while all the others had been shattered or were cold.

She's a rambunctious dragon who is prone to periods of intense introversion. She usually forgoes talking for communicating through body language. Kida grew up as part of the first hatchlings of Clan Kopas. She spent much of her childhood with Calcifer in the ruins around the Focal Point under Bladedancer's watchful eye.

Kida has an ability to touch an object and experience memories tied to it. She first experienced this when she went to play with an ancient object Calcifer was interested in. The visions present themselves as her locking up and not responding to the real world for a short time. The relative rarity of this ability keeps the clan from finding a good way to help her explore it, but through her own effort and Calcifer's help she's finding a way to control the visions. 		. .
