One of the few fully-dragon employees working at Lucky Scales, Verigris is the uncaring sort - business is business, and it's not her place to ask questions or cause trouble so long as the pay is good. She's become somewhat of a trademark for the firm, as her intimidating figure can be seen lurking in the darkened corners of the building during its busiest operating hours.

Nobody but Karmiu, her Charge, knows where she goes in her off time, but she never seems to be more than a yell's distance away, and has an almost uncanny propensity to pop up behind anybody about to stir up trouble. Her sleek skin is deceptively smooth - it reflects all manner of attacks, from thrown chairs and kitchen knives to a Mirror's piercing fangs.
Verdigris has another aptitude: alchemy. Of course, so long as she's being paid, she'll never be pressed to admit it, but she provides a crucial support in investigations into Baldwin, other alchemist's concoctions, and alchemy cases in general. Her investigation into drugs and other such harmful substances does make her seem a bit suspicious when she speaks to Mafia members of the books, but no-one has the gumption to ask Verdigris to her face if she actually brews opiates.

She assists the Medical Staff as well, further making her moral high ground more like a mudslide, as those do actually contain concerning amounts of chemicals. Verdigris was the person who mixed up the very first batch of experimental painkillers; the vials they were kept in are proudly on display over the headboard of her bed.
