The shiny blue ridgeback crashes into you in the narrow street between shops. "Oh, Golly! I'm so sorry! I-I didn't mean to!" he babbles, taking your talons and helping you up off the ground. "I wasn't watching where I was going!" he shakes his head, dusting off your pristine scales/fur/feathers. "You...don't look familiar. Are you even from Crystalrune?" he asks. You shake your head. "Oh." his eyes widen. "You're - you're not a ridge-trader are you?" he says anxiously, scrambling backwards. You shake your head quickly and raise your talons as if in surrender. "Oh thank goodness. Mother said they might find me one day, and I wasn't sure if you were one of them..." he shakes his head quickly as if to clear it. "So, what brings you to our Kingdom?"
Early Life
Jasper was hatched when his father, Odessey was being auctioned off to a group of angry dragon traders. His mother Siren found him a safe home in the Crystalrune Kingdom, far away from the traders who'd be looking for him. Jasper was only 10 years old when this happened, and his mother was unable to follow him in his escape. He spent 106 years wandering around Sornieth befriending dragons from all across the continent, but he never felt at home. One day when he was visiting a market in a Light clan, he overheard a couple dragons talking about a kingdom called Crystalrune, which was nestled back in the Starwood Strand in Arcane. As soon as he heard the name, he knew he had to go. He had a feeling that he would find his home there.
Living In Crystalrune
Jasper arrived in the Crystalrune Kingdom on his 116th birthday, and was still quite scared without his parents there to help him. Not a lot of the other dragins seemed too interested in helping him, since they already had thir responsibilities in the kingdom’s economy. One day though, he met a beautiful young Wildclaw named Cyan. She had a river for a soul and she flew as gracefully as a bird. He was instantly in love. At first, he had no idea how to talk to her. She constantly wore a white hood that hid her eyes and had frozen chains around her wings and ankles. He thought she was a prisoner of the clan at first, until he finally gathered up the courage to talk to her. He soon discovered that she’d been a prisoner of an Ice Flight kingdom before she came to Crystalrune. She told him that other dragons had offered to take her chains off, but she’d refused, saying that they were a reminder of her strength. This story had Jasper head over tail in love. He asked her if she’d mind being friends with him, and she happily accepted. Soon, he was friends with almost every dragon in the kingdom and was offered a job as a florist. Now, he runs his own flower shop, and is a proud member of the clan’s breeding program.
