A prominent war general & tactician hired by Nettle & Sorrow to train their new recruits & pre-existing troops. Fastidious, cruel, sleazy, & dismissive of those he finds beneath him in his arrogance, Nicodemus is interested to see how the politics embroiling Clan Adamahe's members will turn out, all while failing to see the noose tightening about his neck. He flirts with Sorrow unabashedly, vainly fawning and proclaiming what an excellent mate he would be to sire her future powerful children. Sorrow agrees with ulterior motives in mind.

After learning what happened to Sorrow's last mate Pthisis, Nicodemus is understandably more than a little worried about a similar or worse fate happening to him. He plans to soon betray Sorrow & Nettle by committing treason & fleeing for his life, caring only about himself & not of the fates that would occur to his children. Nicodemus sees his children only as means to an end, just mere parasites.

Sorrow has noticed the changes in Nicodemus' behavior, & has become suspicious, although she doesn't show it around him, only confiding her intuitions to Nettle privately. Sorrow preps for what she knows is an inevitable confrontation, of which she will most assuredly win.

The Future Awaits

Nicodemus is confronted, captured, then tried for treason, of whom Sorrow is judge, jury..and executioner. He is sentenced to become part of her Gaoler pack, feral under the power of Sorrow's blood magic. Sorrow considers this a merciful sentence for her former object of affections as opposed to death.
