"How've you been, Maple?" The pale grey dragon wore a concerned expression as she asked the Skydancer.

"Fine. You?"

She narrowed her eyes. "I've been good. But 'fine' isn't enough for me. You seem troubled. What is it?"

Maple sighed and sat on the dusty ground. Their clan kept walking ahead of them. "It's Reed. I don't know why it's so awkward between us... It's like we don't know each other anymore."

Thoughtful cocked her head to the side. "It's because you make it awkward, Maple," she held up a wing when he opened his mouth to interrupt. "Hey, you know I'm right! You two just need to talk. You both moved on without each other, you need to understand that. It's just unfortunate, is all."

Maple shook his head. "Yeah, you're right, Thoughtful. Doesn't mean I like it."

"You don't have to like it. I doubt Reed does either."
