Biography

Iragari A kind metalworker covered in scars (and burns from her craft) "Hey there kid, what can I getcha? Sword? Trident? Helmet? Whatever you need, I've got you covered"
Iragari ran as fast as she could, her large claws thudding on the frozen earth under her. her breath clouded in front of her in the chilled air, and she could feel the sting of the cold on her wing tips. A chilling howl filled the quiet frosty air, sending a pang of fear through Iragari. She knew she had gone too far up the mountain this time. She was searching for finer metals and minerals that she could turn into stronger weapons, but she had wandered into winter wolf territory. She was a small wildclaw, though very strong, but winter wolves were large, and they outnumbered her greatly. She could hear enough paws thudding behind her for a pack, though she dared not look behind her. Thinking quickly, she veered left, hearing the wolves snapping and snarling close behind her. She headed for the sheer mountainside, and she pushed off of the ground with her strong back legs, aided by a flap of her clipped wings, managing to climb atop a large Boulder.

She allowed herself to take a quick breath and take a glance behind her. What she saw froze her where she stood. A pack of about 8 winter wolves were stalking out of the woods towards her. Just one would be a formidable foe, and she would never stand a chance against 8 of the deadly beasts. She looked at the sky, wishing that she could fly away, but her wings had been clipped when she was a young hatchling. She was to be sold to work for either a cruel dragon aristocrat or to slave away working to make apparel. Thankfully she and the other hatchlings held with her were saved by a strange imperial with water in her eyes. Since then Iragari was free to do as she wished, and wish her freedom she built a metalworking shop, the only reminder of her past her loss of flight. It never bothered her much, but in this situation it would really come in handy. "Iragari, you are strong. You can do this." she thought to herself as the wolves stalked closer. One of the predators jumped forward, snapping its jaws and scratching at the edge of the Boulder. She jumped backwards with a Yelp and only just managed to remain on the Boulder. The other wolves seemed to take the actions of the first as a signal, and they all began lashing at the Rock, scrabbling and snapping around her. She tucked her tail in close and she looked around in panic, trying to find a way to escape the white fury beneath her. She decided to try her only option, and spread her wings with a grim yet determined face. "i can do this" she thought again, and she pushed off with all of her strength. She felt the wind rush beneath her wings, she felt the lift, and she looked down to see the wolves snarling beneath her, but- with a flash of panic she felt the wind change, and she flapped blindly but it was no use, she plummeted to the ground, the frozen earth and twigs scraping painfully against her scales as she rolled a few feet before lying still.

She lay for a moment, pain stinging in her limbs and her wings, angry tears rolling down her face. She started to stand up when something slammed into her, pain flashing in her shoulder, causing her to roar in surprise. Iragari and the white wolf rolled in the snow for a moment before she managed to gain her bearing and stand, throwing the wolf off. It's pack was coming, she could hear them. The wolf before her got to its feet and flew at her again, but she slammed her tail into it, trying to ignore the throbbing in her shoulder and the blood spattering the ground. "I am Iragari!" She roared defiantly, turning and facing the other wolves. She knew she could not win against them, but she wouldn't die without a fight. Then the wolves were upon her, biting at her legs and tail, bringer her to the ground much faster than she had anticipated, but she was lashing out with all of her might, scratching and biting, roaring in fury. She knew that the fight was over before it had begun. She was weakening, her vision blurring, but she smiled weakly in the face of death. The leader of the pack jumped upon her, it's snarling fangs ready to snap her neck. She closed her eyes peacefully, ready to die, when suddenly the weight of the wolf was gone, a thud and yip of pain sounding somewhere to her right.

She creaked open her eyes to see a black and white imperial fighting off the wolves with the force of a summer storm. The lead wolf howled, and the pack retreated, dashing off into the woods. Iragari tried to stand, but found she could not. Her rescuer was there in a matter of seconds, peering down at her, looking concerned. With a start Iragari realized she had swirling eyes of water. "You" she croaked weakly, tears of relief and happiness leaking down her face.
"Yes, me" the imperial replied with a kind smile, her soothing voice like a babbling brook. The larger dragon softly picked her up in her arms and spread her wings, taking to the skies. Iragari limply looked down, a smile spreading across her face. "im flying" she thought, before her vision turned black and she lost consciousness.

Daichi, Iragari's water-eyed rescuer, carried her down the mountain to her clan, and the healers there were able to save her life, though she was left with multiple nasty scars. Iragari become a metalworker for the clan, making them various weapons and armor, feeling like she had truly found her place. For the first time in a long time she was truly happy.
