Biography

Hoi there! I'm part of the Nightsky Winds subspecies!! Register Here!
windv2.png
Long ago, in the dark woods of the Wispwillow Grove, a gentle breeze stirred. This breeze was brought by the Windsinger himself, in attempt to cheer up his gloomy friend- The Shadowbinder. The breeze traveled through the shadowy lands, zipping through the treetops and through the woods and brought life to whatever it touched. A small luminescent shard that was buried in the ground was lucky enough to be found by this breeze- it channeled all of its energy in it in hopes of a creation of something that would bring life to this land. And so, the first of the Nightsky Winds were born.
The Nightsky Winds were always a mystery- no one knew of their existence in the shadowy lands, except for the ones they've decided to appear to. When one is in danger and in need of help, it is said that the Nightsky Winds will appear to only the purest of dragons and aid them in battle. In the myths, they were said to have the power of telephathy, teleportation, and a strong psychic power that allowed them to control even an Imperial and bend them to their wills. Some even had a power to predict the future and past. The Nightsky Winds also had an alarming speed of flight if they weren't teleporting- it was said that they were almost in the top three fastest species if it weren't for the fact that they rarely took flight. This species was never discovered, and wouldn't have until one day, a whole clan was in distress against a plague of werewolves. One of the Nightsky Winds appeared to the whole clan and aided them against the wolves. When the problem was solved, the leader of the clan offered a place for him to stay in their clan. He was about to decline it, even though he has already grown fond of the clan. But at that moment, the leader of the Nightsky Winds appeared and persuaded him to join the clan, saying that someone must be out there to prove their existence. And so, sightings of the winds grew and eventually became known. Although, to have one join a clan was still rare...

The Wispwillow Jaguars
As time grew, the Nightsky Winds split themselves into few different tribes- The Starbound Winds, with the purest psychic powers; the Nebula Tricksters, being the most 'shadowy' out of the three; and the Wispwillow Jaguars, the tribe with the least sense of psychic yet the wildest out of them. The Wispwillow Jaguars, hence the name, are dragons who have feline traits- jaguar spots cover their pelts, and their pupils are contracted to slits. They might have a weak sense of psychic due to the fact that the Wispwillows survived by hunting and lived with very strict tribal rules, but their speed and reflexes are to be admired. While venturing through the gloomy Wispwillow Woods, you may find a pair of eyes constantly staring at you through the shadows...Do not ever, ever go near them! These are the eyes of the Wispwillow Jaguars- one of the most feared predators in the Wispwillow Woods. With a sudden shine of bright light from their runes, the prey will be dazed while the Wispwillow pounces from its hiding place and tear its lunch to shreds.

Don't worry too much about these predators though, as they rarely show themselves to outsiders unless they feel threatened. A series of rules bound them to their places:

1. Food must be offered to the eldery and the young as a priority.
2. To attack someone not for the need of food is absoultely banned unless you are to feel threatened.
3. To attack one with a pure heart and clear mind is to be sentenced to death.

...And so on.

The Wispwilllow Jaguars can shine an intense amount of light from their runes on their pelts to either clear their way through the shadows or to capture a prey. They do have psychic powers, but are very weak compared to those of a Starbound. Some Wispwillows have developed a sense of night vision to walk around easier, and they're marked with darkened scleras, but not all have this ability- those who don't have this extra ability rely on their runes for light. All Wispwillow Jaguars have an excellent sense of smell and hearing, along with a serious boost in speed (alot faster than the two variations as they don't rely on teleportation). A small number of them can even see through walls, and some can even predict their opponents movements a second later, but as mentioned before- This is pretty rare, as the education for hatchlings do not include the use of psychic. The Wispwillows communicate by speaking however, so communication is alot easier with them.

The leaders of a Wispwillow clan are selected by the darkness of their pelts and eyes. The ones with darker pelts tend to be more respected, and those with darkened scleras are counted as gifted ones by Windsinger himself. However, the dragons with glimmer instead of runes are the least respected as they have no source of light except for the soft glow from their bellies. They would have to rely on others for guidance across the dark woods, and are constantly ignored. One would have to develop a good sense of night vision in order to gain back their respect. Skydancers tend to have a bad reputation in these clans, as their physical strength isn't the best- they rely on magic, which isn't what the Wispwillows like. If a Skydancer was to be born in a Wispwillow clan, it would have to advance through the ranks by proving their use in the clans. This usually includes alot of psychic powers, since not alot of Wispwillow Jaguars can use magic, and if they could, most couldn't use it well. Skydancers, however, can control theirs alot better than others, and if to use it in combat, these feathery dragons would be a great threat. Dragons with stars on their wings are marked psychics- their spellcasting skills are stronger than other Wispwillows, and have potentionals...Only if someone could discover those great, possible futures and not limit the Wispwillows to a claw-and-tooth combat...
