Originally called Nyssa, now is named Abby after the birth of her children and the death of her mate and love, Helios.

She spends a good amount of time by herself, too tired and burnt out with the world. She started life auctioned off to the highest bidder, and originally only expected to join the Alae Clan for a short time before becoming a soldier for the Water clan. Bitter and reclusive, only the bright Helios with his, if slightly conceited, world view broke through her shadows.

However, a few days after their first nest hatched, he was drafted to fight for the Tide Lord. He promised to come back- for his parents, his mate, and his newly born children. Alas, this was not to be, and they received word months later that he had been slain in battle.

Recognizing that she was no longer the same dragon she once was, she changed her name to 'Abby', and spends her time with the sick, injured, and honorary Alae. Every so often she takes a break to visit her in-laws, Leonora and Fionn, and to report to her clan leaders, Remi and Mako, on the status of her charges.

The dragons who she cares for often take a sleeping potion while they heal. Somnia magic is an incredibly powerful force, but Abby herself is immune to it. She has two young apprentices, Argo and Freda, who are also gifted with an immunity. Nowadays, they, and her two other "children", Arrana and Nautilus, are the only ones who can bring that rare smile to her face.
