The Coelestian Archive On ATAXIA
- the entity who singlehandedly brought ruin to the Coelestian empire, slayed hundreds in its siege on the Citadel. Now occupies the citadel
- creates unholy abberations by corrupting nearby creatures. Most corruptions are made from lesser sea creatures (sharks, squids, etc), but a few very powerful corruptions were once whales or even dragons
- its presence has polluted the area around the Citadel, turning the sand black and making the water cloudy. Within one mile of the Citadel, the water is so thick with minor corruptions that it’s hard to see.
- Nereith seems indifferent to ATAXIA, but attacks non-corruptions that approach it or the Citadel
- has only one mouth that writhes with a dozen long, luminescent tongues. Hearing it speak can drive a dragon to insanity
- doesn’t have eyes, only smooth skin where the eyes should be
- wings are rimed in salt crystals and rusted chains
- scales are iridescent and sometimes flicker in and out of existence, showing bones beneath its skin
