Eve

this takes place before Eve had arrived here in my clan :3

Adorned with suncatchers that refract colored light across the walls, the lair was befitting a fortuneteller. The Guardian Dragon grumbles as they catch in his tawny antlers, though, his hatchling Eve is eager to play with them. A young skydancer with crooked glasses sits at a worn table with a crystal ball in the center and two steaming cups of tea either side.

“I am Minty,” she scrambles to hide the papers she had just spilled ink all over, “I believe you aren’t here for yourself, Sebastian. Rather your son Eve?” She tries to maintain her whimsical aura... It’s too late for that. Sebastian simply nods. Minty watches his hatching as they curiously inspect her jars of herbs. She guesses they are maybe two days old. Her antenna picks up unease in the older dragon but he doesn’t show it.

Minty mummers to herself as she gazes into the crystal ball and seemingly beyond.

In her vision it’s a cloudless night, Eve’s coat splattered in stars acts as a cloak in the night sky as he makes a swift escape. “Unlike most Guardians, Eve will start the search before fully grown… I’m not sure he’ll find his charge.” She says these words softly, aware of the grim implication that Eve may spend his life on an endless search.

Sebastian frowns and goes to protest that it can’t be possible, only for a creek.. smash! to cut him off. As both dragons snap their attention to Eve they find him unharmed, the same can’t be said for Minty’s herb jars. The father looks guilty but she waves him off with her wing “I do it all the time, no harm is done- right yes, Eve will be looking for his unnamed mother, though he never will find her.”

Minty gazes into her crystal ball again only to notice Eve trying to reach for it, the older guardian holds the adventurous hatchling back. Her vision shows her Eve flying among the floating islands of focal point before perching on the lonely observatory. He appears lost, afraid and alone in the new land that of Starfall isles. With a heavy heart, Minty shakes her head to clear the vision and accidentally flings her glasses. The hatchling looks up at her with his arcane magenta eyes. Ah... so it was meant to be.

As she meets Sebastian's eyes ready to break the news Minty sees a glimmer of hope. With a huff, she looks further into Eve’s future desperate to see something.

She breathes a sigh of relief as in her Crystal ball she sees a different Guardian Dragon and his Imperial mate both with coats that resemble the night sky. They curl around the lost hatching, together they creating a galaxy of stars. “Two dragon’s named Dusk and Dawn will take him in as their ward, raise him to protect Misden’s clan and all those who find refuge there.”

Sebastian's shoulders relax and he offers Minty a thankful smile. This small distraction is enough for the hatching to escape his father’s grasp and knock over the worm table, spilling tea all over the floor. The fortune teller saw it coming and was already clutching her crystal ball.

After cleaning up and trading goodbyes minty warns him “I'm not certain if this is his future.." Her eyes look up at you,"..that depends on forces out of our control."

(I'm not a good writer but I tried! Sebastian is his real dad, his mum is unnamed :3 I wrote this to be able to adopt him from the writer's hatchery, the ending referring to to judge as they would decide if I could have Eve or not.)
