Ether is both a Magician and an illusionist, which, in this world, are not the same thing. Magic is real, illusion is trickery of the eye and brain. He refuses to use magic to produce his illusions and practices them A LOT. One can usually find him off in the brush somewhere perfecting some new trick, or an old one he can't quite do well yet.

His actual magic is used for his skills in battle, or for defense of himself or the Lair.
