Cinders

Hallow had originally dreamed of forming a lair consisting almost entirely of fellow mirrors, a proper hunting party to wreak havoc across the land. But then, Jewel returned from the auction house one day, with a sad, frightened Coatl hatchling held gently in her claws.

Ferocious, Cinders is not, but it was his tenacity, resourcefulness, and determination which drew Hallow to him. For all her first misgivings, he quickly rose in her affections, and took to the rigorous training formerly placed only on Hallow's own children like a fish to water.

It was with great pride that Hallow finally declared him to be as much her child as Willawisp and Bonedancer, and with his addition to the ranks of the Bone Brigade, a new trend began. No longer did Hallow concern herself so strongly with bloodlines or breed - any dragon fierce enough to prove its worth could earn the right to wear the skulls.
