Biography

"I swear, if I forgot to turn off the gas chromatography machine, my sister is going to kill me."

Fysegieth: Cornish for 'physics'

Physicist | Lecturer

Fysegieth is the result of a one-off fling between Pithicus and Koswikergh, two of the Valkyrie's first labdragons. Though the two didn't exactly love each other the way most couples in the Valkyrie did, they doted on their children, showing them the ways of science and labwork.

The Tundra was fascinated by their studies, preferring a less violent life and going for a more scholarly approach. Despite his parents' biological expertise, Fysegieth deviated from their teachings, and went into particle physics, studying in-depth about the way atoms interact with each other. As was custom in the Valkyrie, he was named after he found his passion, which was physics. He is respected in the dragon scientific community, often making findings, and is often looked up to for his peer reviews.

He is particularly revered for his studies in suspending a sample of the Shade in a plasma medium, to observe how it reacts to other materials, and centrifuging it to concentrate it further, which can be used as an energy source.

Despite what most would think about other individuals in his field, he is an outgoing and charismatic individual, often chatting up other dragons and listening to what they have to say. Dragons with a careful eye will also see him using this ability to inquire for more funding for him and his sister's labwork from the Matriarch, which she easily grants. He often attends science conferences, presenting his own papers or reviewing another dragon's.

When he isn't at conferences or in his lab, Fysegieth is an assistant at the school, often lecturing other students on simpler topics, grading papers or commenting on lesson plans from other teachers.

His relationship with his more quiet sister is a casual push-and-pull, with him often speaking up on her behalf, and working together with her occasionally, since the Shade can arguably fall under her field as well.
