Farin was born in wintertime, on another planet in another galaxy. Not much is known about Fairin before he came to Nabrierus, except that he, according to himself, "was a very promising young hatchling that was too smart for his own good".

When he first came to planet Nabrierus he worked for a short time as a local storyteller in Silverkeeps, the planet's capital. The late Emperor Caladele lV I happened to come across Farin and loved his stories about the origins of Nabrierus so much that he hired him as his personal historian. Since then Farin has teached all the royal hatchlings, including the current Emperor Calembel.
