Where Petals is the soft, almost motherly figure in The Sanctuary, Lovenmist takes up the flank with a strong and firm personality, whilst still being a good speaker with others. As the mate of Petals, Lovenmist can often be found alongside her assisting in the task of leading the clan, and the two of them make for a great team in presenting a compassionate, yet sturdy front for the rest of the dragons. The goals that Petals dreams of for The Sanctuary, Lovenmist makes certain come true.

Lovenmist arrived in The Sanctuary at first as a patient, a Skydancer who was cursed with crystals growing from his fur and feathers. No one from his original clan could fathom how to cure the immobilized Skydancer, and brought him to The Sanctuary when they'd heard word of a clan with specialized healers. He was in a terrible state when he arrived to the clan's forest, his wings all but useless and hardly able to lift his own weight, they were quick to relieve him somewhat by chipping as much of the crystals off as possible. But even then it was merely a temporary solution, until Moonspectre and her dragons could concoct a reversal to the curse.

During the time spent in the witches care however, Petals would often come to visit him to make certain he was well-taken care of, and it was in those first few visits that the two Skydancers took a shine to each other, as the relation grew more romantic overtime. With his crystal curse now gone (though residues still remain on him as permanent scars), Lovenmist is now a resident of the Sanctuary who helps Petals in assuring its safety and overall success.
