Flux
Lusterless sounded scared when she shook Flux awake, taking off without waiting for him.
He stood and grumbled slightly, not having the total idea of what was going on. He had tried to ask, but his mate had left before he could ask anything.
So, he took off after her, tearing through the sky. In front of him, he saw her, her slender form's scales glittering in the moonlight. She was a ways off, but if he kept this pace, he'd probably catch up to her. His wingspan was wider than hers.
Unbeknownst to him, he had a tiny, silent flyer with him.
The Fae darted up from beneath Flux, knocking his flight path off balance. He tried to right himself, but before he knew it, strange things had formed on his wings, rooting them into place and leaving him unable to fly properly.
He fell, landing in a thicket of bushes. He groaned and lifted his head, but saw nothing. The trees and bushes here were dark. On a second glance, he thought he saw two pairs of eyes staring at him. There seemed to be clicking noises coming from the direction of the eyes, almost as if they were sending messages.
Flux managed to get himself up and began looking at the things on his wings. It made them immobile, rooting them in a permanently closed position. He couldn't fly out of here, so he'd have to run.
A form lurched out of the shadows, and before Flux knew it, he had been ensnared by... another dragon?
Her eyes were sharp. Her claws were sharp. Her grip was suffocating. She coiled around his neck and legs, bringing him back to the forest floor. One hand grabbed Flux's mouth harshly, the other grabbing the top of his head, and together, they forced open the Coatl's mouth. There was a brief moment before a sickening sludge dropped into his mouth and his mouth was forced shut.
He gagged. He screamed. He attempted to run as the liquid took hold. He fought, and fought...
And then, the Hivemind was all he believed in.
