Biography
It was towards the end of this life, where mystery would ensue.
It was a day like any other. Now elderly, he basked in the sun on top of a large rock, letting the warmth soak into his scales.
As he dozed in that lovely afternoon, he dreamt of youth and adventure. His mind projected his hatchling years, and the energy that came about with it. Learning to fly, exploring small caves. Even pestering the elder dragons, by using their wings for hide 'n' seek.
However this dream was interrupted by a cold sensation on the tip of his nose. Slowly he blinked open his eyes, orienting himself. He lifted his head, attempting to find the source of what had waken him. His expression grew that of concern, upon seeing that the sky had been cast in gray. Rain was the culprit after all.
As he stood himself up, he flinched at the whip of lightning that lit up the sky. A loud roaring followed, scaring off any hatchlings into their burrows. All but one that is.
Ace did his best to try and nudge along the young one, the rain started to pour from the sky, as the clouds cried out everything they retained.
Sadly, how hard he tried, the little one insisted on watching the storm to play about in the mud.
He gave in, deciding to just watch the hatchling himself, to make sure he was safe.
That's when he saw a white flash strike the ground, catching a nearby stump ablaze. It was as if their clan was experiencing the wrath of The Stormcatcher.
Ace had a new sense of urgency to get this young one out of the storm. He wrapped himself around the hatchling, waiting on the next strike of lightning, before hurrying off to his den.
However, he would never get that chance.
The next strike of lightning hit Ace right in the back, saving the young one's life.
The last thing he saw, was the clan fleeing the area, leaving him behind. He has no recollection of anything after that.

A bright light blinded him, as he struggled to orient himself. He was scared, and confused. That last thing he remembered was a sharp ringing in his ears, and fire.
Although after he managed to do so, he found himself laying in dirt, surrounded by tall green grass. He was alive? No, this had to be some sort of afterlife.
He stood up, taking in his surroundings a little better. That's when he realized..how tall was this grass, if it towered over him so?
Looking for answers, he made his way across the grassy plains, until encountering a little pond. This was the perfect opportunity to see what had happened to him!
He looked into the reflective water, only to be met with his reflection. However, a reflection of his younger self. Now this HAS to be the afterlife!
He then quickly looked around. The area didn't look famillar, but it sure as heck didn't look ethereal. Just normal ol' Sornieth.
Now stricken with confusion, he rattled his own brain for any logical explanation for his condition.
That's when a large dragon shrouded with a cloak loomed over him. By it's sheer vastness..and elegant mane trailing down it's body, it had to be an Imperial. However he wasn't sure.
Swiftly, Ace demanded the mysterious dragon for answers. But the only questions answered was that one, he was not in some sort of ethereal afterlife realm, and two, the Imperial explained how he had given Ace a gift. He did not explain why or what it was, before disappearing into the tree line, as if he himself was some sort of spiritual apparition.
