It’s not clear exactly why Khonsu exists. His mother isn’t really a fan of children and doesn’t necessarily need a heir, concerning her current position. It could have been that she saw some kind of unlocked potential in her son, only to be immensely disappointed to discover that he’d become selectively mute and end up ditching her plan altogether.

Thanks to Sauvignon’s importance to Clan Io, Khonsu also has his fair share of privileges. Opportunities presented themselves to him at a very young age and he even obtained the role of the matriarch’s personal scribe in his late adolescence. He’s never been noted to talk, so Mercury is more than happy to let him follow her around as she rambles. His obedience can be described as unusually robotic.

RELATIONSHIPS

SAUVIGNON
His mother is content having Mercury deal with him in her place, and in turn Khonsu compliantly leaves her be. He appears to be indifferent about Sauvignon’s attention (or more often, lack of). Then again, he seems to be indifferent about everything.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Only tends to make soft audio ques as a response (e.g. humming) to anything that demands some kind of verbal reply. Will sometimes mutter yes or no if he has to.

• Doesn't seem to get bored easily. He also has an incredible attention span, as long as it's directed to something he deems important.
