Personality
╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯Borealis is, to put bluntly, a nervous wreck. She is terrified of near everything, is excessively bashful and shy, and tries not to get in others' way. She's very quiet and constantly shivering, though it's not known if it's out of being cold or out of fear. She enjoys quiet time to herself, and surprisingly writing and exploring. Much like other ice dragons, preservation and fossils. She also has an interest in gardening, but refuses to delve on it out of fear of hurting the plants. She tends to hover over other's shoulders when they're doing anything of interest, but if noticed she will quickly apologize and leave to find a place to hide. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
Early Years
╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯Among the Cloudscape Crags, an ice statue stood proudly, built in the honor of a fallen Pearlcatcher of a nearby clan. It sat there, and as time went on, those who mourned over their beloved friend and family visited the statue less and less. Isolated from the clan, and nearly forgotten, the statue still remained. Yet, in its state of isolation, the statue's chest slowly began to rise and fall, a fog leaving the statue's jaws. Her eyes slowly blink as her grip tightens on the fallen's pearl that she held in her clutches for so long. She shakily trembled forward, tentative in her movements. She takes notice of the plaque that stood by her. She made her way to the plaque and read: "Here lies Borealis, May Icewarden bless her brave soul" With nothing more than the life she was just endowed with and a name to go with it, Borealis began to wander carefully and fearfully, beginning with the clan who had created her. This clan's reaction, to no one's surprise, was shock. Many, at least at first, saw her as a miracle, believing Borealis as the same one they had lost, reincarnated into the body of her effigy. A few, however, were outraged, as they had only recently gotten over their lost brethren and saw her existence as a cruel joke of the suffering that they had just gone through. As the days went on and Borealis' timid and fearful nature began to show, so too did many of her clanmates share this resentment. Each passing moment made it more clear to the clan that this was not the Borealis who had died a hero, but a stranger who shared the same face and pearl. Despite Borealis' best efforts to mimic the Pearlcatcher that the clan thought she was, even trying to convince herself, it was not enough. Eventually, the rising tension between her and the clan was too much for her, and she ran away, where she aimlessly wandered from clan to clan. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮

╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯Because Borealis is made out of ice, she does not produce the black mucus that most other Pearlcatchers make. Instead, she secretes an ice slush, which hardens into a clear, solid ice. She still adds layers to her pearl, but due to the nature of her 'mucus', the original pearl can still be seen inside, each new layer of ice preserving it further. Because of the ice, this makes it etremely difficult for anyone except Borealis to hold it. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
Triva
╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯Borealis can melt, chip, or crack whenever she's injured. Because of this, typical healing procedures don't work on her. Thankfully, she can fix herself by licking her wounds and using the same ice slush she uses for her pearl. This works best with chips and cracks, but being melted is a lot difficult to patch up. Depending on how much she melts, someone might need to help resculpt her. However, she uses her magic so that rarely happens. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮

╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯While she is too fearful to engage in combat, she's naturally talented with magic. However, she doesn't have much control over it because she's typically using it to keep herself cool so she doesn' melt, and sometimes she'll accidentally freeze things. This is one of the main reasons that she doesn't garden, as she's afraid of hurting the plants. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
