Noxious is a sneaky boy, as one would expect. He likes to creep in the shadows and watch anything of interest around him without engaging. He is not terribly secretive, and dragons who have arguments with others will sometimes seek out Nox if they are interested in solving their disagreements without drawing blood, as rare as that was. Because Nox doesn't go around sharing secrets, there is a certain amount of trust the dragons have for his observations and habits.

When in combat or when he feels threatened, Nox is capable of secreting a green-colored gas that can help decrease his visibility and shroud his location. He can produce and store quite a large quantity of this gas, which leaks from his stores if he has not released it in a while, so the build-up does not make his smoke lungs explode. This means he is often trailing wisps of green smoke. The gas itself does not have much scent to it, more of a natural, musky haze produced by a special gland rather than the fermentation process of digesting food. But the other dragons still make jokes at Nox's expense and the smoke that usually follows him around. He doesn't really care all that much, though, a fairly easygoing boggie.

Because of his mysterious, usually pretty quiet nature, hatchlings love to crawl all over him. He tolerates it, but is not against shaking them off if he has the need or gets irritated enough.
