Ruby

Quite a few eyebrows were raised when Ruby and Marronier chose each other as mates. After all, she was a worldly older dragon with 8 hatchlings... he was a naive young Snapper who barely knew the world outside of Dragonhome. Would their love for each other (and seafood) be enough to keep them together?

As it turns out, you don't become a mother of eight without learning a thing or two. Ruby and Marronier get along quite well, even with Ruby's tendency to borrow things without asking and Marronier's tendency to wander for months at a time. After all, they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder. (Or was that "fungus"?)

Ruby primarily trains her charges in the Kelp Beds. Although she suffers from the typical Ridgeback dislike of water, she considers her Kelp Beds training duty to be a necessary evil in order to literally put food on the table.
