Other dragons who have had the privilege of interacting with Verdana would describe the elusive Skydancer as "sweet," but also as "annoying," "weird," and "smelling like a pile of wet leaves." Indeed, Verdana dedicates quite literally all of her time maintaining the gardens and greenhouses of the clan's lair, tirelessly flitting about the mushrooms, insects, and foliage inside, taking notes of the current stock and harvesting the crops for use by the clan's healer and other magic-users. She will also take long trips to far-away places and meet up with distant traders to acquire (and hopefully cultivate) rare and sought-after plants.

Despite how taxing the work can be, Verdana still takes her job very seriously. "My clanmates always tell me to 'loosen up' a little, b-but I can't do that!" Verdana would exclaim to Agave, one of the few dragons who are capable of putting up with Verdana's long-winded rambles. "They will always need me. If the healer runs out of ingredients for her potions and balms... well... what then?? Definitely, someone could die because of that-- because I'm not there to maintain the stash! Sooo... I can't let that happen. Gotta, y'know, make sure we'll never run out. It comes with the turf." Truly, she considers herself the humblest of the underdogs.
