Fame simply appeared one day in the midst of the clan, startling all of them. Cearra, confrontational as ever, stalked up to him and snarled a demand for information. Vyrn glared at her and she backed off, but didn't ease up her gaze.
Fame looked around, seeming just as confused as the rest of them: Vyrn cocked his head at him and reared onto his haunches a bit to get closer to the imperial's eyes.

"Are you mute?"
The golden dragon nodded vigorously, clearly relieved that the mirror had figured it out.
Vyrn looked him over and suggested that he stay with them for now, if he so wanted, and that they would gladly welcome him; later he would become their light representative.
Fame's smile was what shone brightest then.
