____Katrine was an infamous case among the Tidelord's domain. She was hatched to an unassuming mermfae pod, to a father that was oft among the shoreline, trading with land dragons for rare goods. Although her pod tried their absolute best to raise a good, hard-working dragon... with Katrine, that simply wasn't meant to be. For Katrine, unlike her brethren, was a syren, a very good one at that. Her acts of innocence and playful, fun-loving mischief were all but a persona to the havoc she wreaked on dragon kind. All fingers pointed towards her, mystics and tellers had seen right through her all along. But, as was doomed to be, her pod defended her right until the very end, when an assassin got fed up losing her prey to a sea creature. Katrine was stolen in the night, and smuggled to the tangled wood.

____She resides still in the tangled wood, trapped in a pond away from all other sources of water, away from her prey. She is kept prisoner, among other mermfae who are allowed to come and go as they please. They treat her kindly, bring her stories and gifts. All in a desperate attempt to change her ways. They know it'll never work, that this is how she's doomed to be. But sometimes, it's simply worth the hope of betterment.
