Biography

Pretty much a general clan ambassador / historian.

also functionally a spot to put the repository that is my lore factions

Major Lore Factions / Lair Tabs

Clan Ibiliven - Nature Aligned - "Roots of the Behemoth" - (the main lair tab)
nature_2.png My main clan, a group of dragons who are trying to set up a normal clan whilst also living and doing some freaky things that they won't acknowledge. Home to both a fierce order of druids as well as dragons who pursue a more civilian-oriented lifestyle within the clan proper.

Located near-ish to the borders of the Earth and Shadow flight territories but well within the shrieking wilds, this clan was notoriously closed off and secretive towards outsiders until recently, preferring to be insular rather than overly welcoming .They pride themselves the most in being devoted to the needs and interests of their community and to the Gladekeeper's own needs and interests. There's a number of sub-groupings within this main clan that all serve a functional use to the clan.

Oldmarsh - Lair tab
A small village, composed of a small group of dragons occupying the previous lair spot Clan Ibiliven had lived in. After Clan Ibiliven had been driven out by a surprisingly early beastclan raid, the region had been left alone by local beastclans out of superstition that the dragon clan would return eventually and raze any beastclan settlements on the lairgrounds. The present dragons had no knowledge of this and had only seen a spot that would be nice to settle down in.

Ibiliven's Order - Lair Tab
A smaller subfaction of the greater clan at large, this small order of druids is led by the clan's namesake, a Gaoler by the name of Ibiliven. Compared to the greater clan, these dragons are a lot more keen to fight and a lot more secretive and reserved towards outsiders.

Clan Helawen - Plague Aligned - "Through the shadows we persevered." - Lair Tab
ALpBaGJ.png A splinter clan that was formed after the founders disagreed with how the Ibiliven clan was being run, decided to just leave and have their own clubClan.

As it turns out, that alone isn't a good motive or reason to found a clan per se, but they're learning the ropes and figuring out the needs and necessities for a proper clan. The founders ran off and hid in the odd pocket that was the border areas of Shadow, Earth, and Plague, and they've found it to be quite cozy to their needs while still being inhospitable enough to naturally keep out prying eyes.

First page is nuzlocke participants (since the thing that kicked off this faction was a nuzlocke that is currently on hiatus that I would like to pick up eventually), 2nd page is non-participants.

They will (eventually) come to join Clan Ibiliven out of necessity, but dragons of this faction like being distinct from dragons of the main clan. They especially won't like the fact that as part of the agreement they have to be within the Nature flight's geographical territory, but they'll be fine.

Dreadweight docks - Neutral - "Storms and Sea Shanties" - Lair Tab
Cut1XHz.png A port town that houses many dragons, very much a trading hub for many crowds, be they legal or less than savory. Sure, technically full of unsavory and shady types, but the main draw is the sprawling port and docks.

For the most part these dragons appreciate a sense of freedom that comes from being a group that does not consider itself a clan and thus beholden to the various rules and standards that clans are expected to have. They also very much appreciate being camped out in the open waters of The Sea of a Thousand Currents and are crafty enough to have figured out how to get boats both into this area as well as to the greater, stranger waters that exist outside of the flight territories (despite the Sea being bordered by many, many flights).

They will come to join Clan Ibiliven out of mutual trading interests, but consider themselves a distinctly separate and self-governed entity from the clan at large.

Hibernal Den Tabs

Moonhollow Grove - Nature Aligned - Den Tab
ovX9n4M.png An oddly quiet grove that seems to occupy an odd sort of existence. It's a liminal space between the normal waking world of Sornieth and Some Outside dimension. It's much like the glue between two sheets of paper or perhaps a river that lies under a bridge between two places. It functions somewhat like a dead lair, and somewhat like a hibernal den in the literal sense, as time doesn't really move there as it does outside, and those who lie inside are more often then not unaware of their predicament.

The realm is speculated to have at least some mind-altering powers aside from other frightening qualities to keep the dragons within unnaturally calm and happy when interacting with it's other denizens, who are by all accounts frightening (but are mild-mannered until they notice something is wrong). Not all who lurk in the Moonhollow Grove are draconic in nature, but there are a small few who hide out in the grove, aware of it or not.

AAA - aaa - Den Tab
p4X4iOt.png [ Needs editing ]

Shatterbone - Ice Aligned - Den Tab
CmPz2hU.png Pretty much cold ice jail for bad icey crime dragons. Guarded by a few Gaolers, most of the dragons here are either involved in the upkeep or are criminals in some capacity. Criminal is loosely defined.

Veleviel - Neutral-aligned - "Endless masquerading" - Den Tab
j1cVEsr.png The dragons in Velevial are mostly under the impression it is an enclave that is reserved for only the most special and truly best dragons that money could afford. Many of the dragons here are rich and aristocratic, and believe that they are truly the most discerning about how the uppermost crust of society should act (at least those under the deities themselves).

They are unaware that the stewards of that fine establishment who are more than eager to board them (in what is considered the best conditions money can buy; anything they could ever need is there) perhaps are not what they seem. Most of the guests do not mind, however, since they are the best judge of character and are quite the discerning pair. And the building they are staying in is truly the best, so they must have quite an excess to spend if they’re eager to pamper and spoil those who are allowed to stay. Sure, the occasional dizzy spell is frustrating, but the owners are more than keen to give you fancy lemonades to help take the edge off of sudden migraines.

Those who know anything about creatures who exist outside of the standard plane of existence know it’s best to keep their distance. The pair that run the establishment are a pair of creatures that do not quite live on the plane. That is, it is difficult for them to live unassisted. Much like how spirits, ghosts, and demons are said to possess dragons, these two can thrive when they have suitable host bodies. Unfortunately for dragonkind, the pair are also fairly vain, and are trying to collect a multitude of “fine outfits” and they do not see dragons as anything besides living outfits.

Lower Respite - Neutral-Aligned - Den Tab
n7TjjSO.png The lower respite is what most of the dragons at Clan Ibiliven would consider a liminal space. An odd pocket dimension that sometimes opens and closes near their communal grave area, The Lower Respite tends to present itself (at first) as a walk-in crypt, which quickly expands itself to some odd subterranean area. It is one that has a lot of glowing crystals and glow-worms to light it, and even torches, but no natural light from the surface filters down at all.

Most of the creatures found in here are an odd group. None are terrible, but eccentric would be an apt word to describe them as. Very few if any are actively malicious, and of that smaller population there doesn’t seem to be anybody who would resort to outright violence. Most of them seem to simply want a place to rest, but for whatever reason could or would not be able to rest properly outside of the respite. The few patrolling grave keepers are the few dragons who are legitimately just dragons trying to keep the peace and ensure that nothing terrible happens, and they are a swell bunch who are more than happy to give directions to lost dragons who find themselves in there.

Kutai Settlement - Plague-aligned - Den Tab
TWYDT6F.png The dragons of the Kutai Settlement are a rough and hardy bunch. They are also terribly paranoid and always on a nerve's edge for completely snapping, but that's the effect the landscape has on them.

They are all in the thrall of BATTLE, a greater spirit who is fueled by conflict (in the most literal sense battle) to always fight whatever comes into their area until it is beyond gone. Not all things that come in are necessarily alive, but sometimes it's beastclans, or other dragons. Those in this group hand-pick prospecting dragons who may wish to join their side. They're always in need of more troops to help bolster their forces. The battle won't end until they win, and until they win the enemies will never cease.

When not fighting, they are always preparing for when the next fight finds them or looking themselves for that very next fight. Very few if any appreciate the downtime that they may get in the lull between battles.

... - ... - Den Tab!
aTsc08C.png Nothing of interest here in terms of lore but these dragons are especially interesting / valuable through lineages or are being paired up to another dragon with a pre-existing lineage. It's mostly Naomi / Ignis descendants here.
