Biography

Subject #42

(AKA Salvage)

Threat Level: 25
Abilities: Subject #42 appears to be a female Imperial with standard known genes for all modern breeds. However, the subject is merely an extension of Subject #42's true form, classified as Entity B. Further information is listed in the notes section. Entity B is able to channel a significant amount of cosmic energy through Subject #42 in order to defend itself on this planet. This energy is released in a huge blast, similar to that of a solar flare, but on a much smaller scale. The blasts release a high level of radiation and cause both physical and genetic damage. However, they are a viable power source if used correctly (see notes). Entity B has the ability to communicate through a language known as 'Starspeak' (again, further information given in the notes section), but attempts are being made to teach the entity Common Draconic via Subject #42. Entity B prefers to communicate via telepathy, but has been known to speak physically upon request.

Notes
  • Entity B is a large spiral galaxy known to astronomers as Messier 101 or the 'Pinwheel Galaxy.' Outside of the facility, this galaxy is just another cluster of rocks, dust, and plasma held together by a gravity well at its center. However, via communication with Subject #42, the researchers at the Quarantine Area have discovered this galaxy is in fact a living entity comprised of trillions of magnetic connections between its stars. Somehow, this connection extended to our sun, which, through traveling by ultraviolet waves, reached Sornieth. Entity B claims to have never known any life but itself, and was therefore fascinated by our planet and its wide diversity of species. Entity B proceeded to find a vessel, which was later taken in by a clan, and finally, gifted to the facility.
  • The energy blasts the subject produces are almost parallel to those of our sun's solar flares. The subject has also admitted that they can release this energy gradually and constantly, in addition to in bursts. Researchers are working on technology capable of harnessing the subject's energy and using it as a self-sufficient power source for the facility.
  • Starspeak is the most common language in the entire universe, yet it is unknown to every creature in Sornieth save for, perhaps, the deities and whatever Shade remains across the land. It is a language based in energy vibrations that travel at nearly the speed of light and can carry complex messages across the universe. This language is used by stars and cosmic entities such as Entity B, and, theoretically, basic lifeforms tuned into the cosmic background noise. Experiments performed on various personnel have shown that Starspeak could be unconsciously understood by its basic meaning. Those more receptive to the language are dragons with pure elemental bloodlines based in Earth, Water, Wind, or Fire. Beastclans have not shown an aptitude for understanding the language, however, ancient bacteria uncovered from permafrost have reacted to stimuli involving Starspeak. It is believed that, once upon a time, Starspeak was the language of the first basic lifeforms that emerged after the deities formed into the Great Pillar. It is unknown whether the deities themselves speak the language or know of it.
  • Subject is relatively friendly with personnel, especially if they are aligned with one of the first four elements. Subject, and by extension Entity B, does not understand the purpose of performed experiments, nor does the entity understand the fragility of life on Sornieth. Therefore, the subject should remain in a leaded suit cell at all times when removed from containment. Containment cell itself should have a thick lead lining in the walls.
  • DNA tests have been run from blood drawn from subject. Surprisingly, the subject had a past long before they were discovered by Entity B. Subject went by the name Vee and had a completely different gene pattern. At some point during the subject's life, they suffered an accident and passed away. They were classified as deceased for approximately three years, five weeks, and six days. At this time, subject was supposedly revived by Entity B and began to function as a vessel with no concept of its previous identity.
