I thought it was the right thing. Turns out it wasn't. Now I seek some sort of.. equilibrium I guess. For every second I wasted doing something evil, for every life I took I will now save as many as I can." - Eryn

"Don't! Don't look at me! I'm impure and tainted!"
"Impure and tainted?" Tertius smiled calmly. "Could a drop of lamp-oil tarnish the sea of your eyes? Could an oil barge shattered on the cliffs? You will never be impure for me and even if there was something clinging on you we would burn it away together. But if it is your wish, I will be blind for you." He looked around and eventually grabbed a piece of cloth wrapping it around his eyes. "And if you say forever so be it. I would burn my eyes out for you. I'm happy as long as I breath the same air as you."
Eryn looked at his beloved shedding one tear after another. All of this love... for him? How could he possibly deserve this? "I'm sorry", he then whispered. "I wasn't strong enough."
"Strong enough for what, my love? You've been strong enough to save me. You're strong enough to fight with me. When my spells failed you were there to hold the line alone. I would want you to kiss you now to me sure but I know you're unwell right now so I will just ask: Do you still love me? If the answer is yes there's nothing we could not overcome and if the answer is no I will still stand by your side to keep you save."
Eryn wiped his tears. "Of course I still love you."
