"Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Jinouga's origins are something of a mystery to the Skymerald clan. Even her closest friends know only vague details, the most prominent of which is the one that perplexes them: she hails from a completely different world. Rumour goes that some kind of dimension jumping accident caused her to arrive in the realm of Sornieth that has left her stranded due to who knows what. When confronted, Jinouga refuses to confirm or deny these rumours, rarely giving an answer in general; she instead goes stone silent and death glares at inquisitive dragons until they flee her presence. She is not a social creature, a rare trait for a Nocturne that only serves to further fuel the rampant rumours. As such, her friends are few, but those who are have proved they're worthy of her undying loyalty and trust. It's a bit of a double-edged sword; Jinouga is fiercely protective and tends to react to any insult or threat to them with with a fury that is legendary among the clan. Outright violence is rare, but her methods of retribution are very sneaky, underhanded and usually magical in nature. Naturally quiet, Jinouga rarely involves herself in general conversation unless directly addressed. She possesses a clever tongue and some dry wit, and can veer into sarcasm territory depending on who she's speaking to. It's not advised to get into arguments with Jin, for she sports a mile-wide stubborn streak and a temper that flares up without warning. With the arrival of her husband, Karl, her attitude towards others has notably relaxed, his calmer temperament soothing her more jagged edges. And while not indulgent of public displays of affection, no one can deny the deep-rooted love that exists between the pair. Her role in the clan is defensively minded: 'spellweavers' use their considerable magic abilities for all manner of protection. Jinouga's speciality is magical barriers, used to defend against breath and other magic-based attacks. It is fueled by her own energy, and can render her unconscious for days if sustained for too long, but is nigh-impenetrable. However, it cannot block physical blows, such as claws, teeth or melee weapons.
