______ Anemone was a young dragon who grew up in many parts of Europe, North America and Japan during her time as a young dragon. Her teacher, Aphrodite was the one who supposedly found Anemone. Aphrodite decided to name the young hatchling “Anemone” which means “windflower.” The name comes from the fact that the delicate hatchling was found tumbling and rolling around as she was being blown by the wind, much like the flower itself, according to Aphrodite herself.

Aphrodite knows the true origin of Anemone; Anemone was Aphrodite’s own hatchling. Before Anemone hatched, Aphrodite’s partner (Anemone’s father) was killed by the other dragon Gods due to their jealousy of her mother and fathers love for eachother. While Aphrodite was mourning the death of her past lover, Adonis, she vowed to make sure that Anemone would be raised well, but never know who her parents were.




______ About the actual flowers: The most significant anemone flower meaning is anticipation. This is because the anemone flowers close up at night and open back up in the morning. Due to its wild nature, the flower specifically symbolizes relaxation and serves as a reminder to enjoy the moment in order to take in opportunities at the right time. According to the Victorian language of flowers, anemone flowers also signify fragility.

According to both Greek mythology and Christianity, the red anemone symbolizes death or the act of forsaken love.
