Biography
The Swamp Queen
Deep in the unexplored reaches of the Mire, Rhea established her territory. She defended it tooth and nail against the beast clans, and the rare hunting party that would make their way through. She abhorred dragons and had no wish to be a part of a clan, out here in the Mire she was the queen of her abode.
She tamed a Hazelbeacon to be her companion, patrolling her lands, alerting her to trespassers and foes. She also began to learn the dark magicks of the swampland. As she immersed herself in the natural powers surrounding her, she became one with the swamp. Her bones began to protrude, her wings became glassy, and fungus began to grow on her body. All the animals within her lands were beholden to her, and answered her call.
One day a Molten Wartoad entered her land. She summoned all in her small realm to aid her, but alas they were powerless to stand against the great beast. She fought with all of her strength to stand against them, but it was impossible. The land around her was destroyed, her home, animals, and surroundings trampled and covered in lava. Barely escaping with her life, she fled.
By chance she stumbled upon a party engaged in battle with the beastclans. Three of the most powerful dragons she had ever seen, Astraea, Aegaeon, and Hephaestus, were battling against several Kamaitachis. With incredible ease they dispatched the beasts. When the battle was done, they began collecting their loot, the noticed her hidden among the undergrowth.
"Who's there?" Astraea called out.
Rhea emerged silently from the undergrowth, her body stained with blood giving her the appearance of a corpse raised from the dead. It had been many years since she had spoken to another being, and she found that she could no longer remember how to form the words to respond. Instead she approached the great guardian and knelt before her. Bringing her deft paws up to her head, she carefully removed her crown of thorns, and offered it to the dragon before her.
"That will not be necessary", Astraea declared, regal as any dragon had ever been, "Our clan is always looking for great warriors, and you seem to be one. You may join us."
So she did, and they began the long trek home to the Cloudscrape Crags in the Southern Icefield. When they arrived at the clan, she
