The First Nest
Umbra's early life is shrouded in mystery. Upon reaching adulthood, she left home to start a clan of her own. Her first mate, Len, was also very young, and the two were unprepared for the challenges ahead of them. The pair had only one child together before misfortune struck: Len was killed on a hunting trip.

At first, grief clouded Umbra's mind. But, in caring for her first daughter, the ache was soothed. In truth, Len had not been a good match for her. Soon after her firstborn had matured and left to seek adventure, Umbra met a dragon named Chester.


Shadow Matriarch
Chester was seemingly a fugitive from the Ashfall Waste. What started as a cautious alliance soon grew into an unshakable friendship, and Chester became Umbra's mate. While she will always remember Len with fondness, Umbra is undoubtedly bonded to her second mate.

The clan soon grew with Umbra and Chester's offspring, and although all her children would end up striking out on their own, like their mother had done, the thriving family soon attracted new members. Whether outcasts, runaways, or loners, dragons are welcome... so long as they don't cause trouble.
