B I O G R A P H Y

No one knows where he came from or what he did, but one day he stumbled into The Children of Olympus. At first, even the friendliest of the dragons were wary of this mysterious skydancer, but Mekhar, the leader of the clan at the time, welcomed this fierce looking fighter. At first he hardly spoke to anyone, which was made even easier seeing as almost everyone had avoided him, allowing him to do as he pleased. That is until Dantela, daughter of two of the oldest clan members, took a shining to him. She would speak to him daily, although most of it was one-sided. Eventually he warmed up to her, and began to open up.

He told her of his past, how he had disagreed with his previous clanmates about certain issues. And even though he was their leader, they mutinied against him, casting him out of their ranks and leaving him for dead. Thanatos actually had to fight some of his friends because of it, and though he had never looked back, he still hoped that they were alright. Luckily a fellow skydancer from a shadow clan had stumbled upon him and nursed him back to health, going as far as inviting him into his own clan. They grew close, began to call each other brother, and would rarely be seen apart. However, his brother's clan soon suffered a horrible plague, wiping out nearly all their numbers. Those that remained blamed the plague dragon for bringing the disease upon them and thus cast him out just as his own had done.

The skydancer explained to the other that he had been drifting from clan to clan since then, hoping to find a place to call his own once more, but he had been shunned everywhere he went, the stench of death, decay and misfortune followed. Dantela felt sympathy for the plague dragon, and quickly went to tell her parents as well as the clan leader about the mysterious drifter.

B I O G R A P H Y

After hearing his story, they began to see potential in the stranger. Slowly, one by one, the clan warmed up to their newest addition and looked towards him for wisdom and guidance. There were instances when the clan would be hit with mysterious diseases; everyone suddenly loosing their voices for extended periods, their health deteriorating despite their overabundance in food and supplies, or just general sickness spreading amongst their ranks. Despite these occurrences, no one seemed to blame the skydancer that worked tirelessly to help find solutions and cures.

Thankfully with the help of skilled doctors and mages not a single dragon had died, and all would be well in a matter of months at best. Mekhar, seeing this dragon's devotion and dedication to keeping the clan safe, stepped down as head, offering the title to Thanatos, feeling his time was over and interests wishing to focus elsewhere. Although he coveted his old position, he refused at first, fearing that the past may repeat itself. Through everyone's insistence, he eventually accepted.

All was well under his leadership. The clan prospered and expanded. More dragons would hear of a clan accepting all walks of life and would seek a second chance, just as its leader had. And as the clan grew, so did the budding love between Thanatos and the first dragon that had made an effort to know him and his tale, earning Dantela a chance to stay beside and help watch over her home.
