B I O G R A P H Y

______ Perdita - lost (latin).

______ He'd always been... yearning for something. Perhaps it was the death of his sister when he'd barely grown to understand what death even was, or his distant parents that wanted little to do with their hatchlings than absolutely neccessary, but he went through his life with an aching void in his chest. Perditos, always admired for his name, his colors, the magical liquid and the starry patterns on his scales, was used to the attention, even though he'd never admit he enjoyed it more than he let on.

______ When the time for his Search came, he was reluctant to leave, but eventually, he did, especially motivated by his parents' cold attitudes. After three months and 20 days, as the winter landscape was preparing for yet another snowstorm, he was going through abandoned beastclan dens searching for food, loneliness already having made him lose most of his motivation to keep searching.

______ Glancing into a small den, he startled a little when suddenly two yellow eyes appeared in it out of nowhere, before huffing out a pride-hurt breath and realizing it was just a young black kitten, hiding from the upcoming storm. In just a few moments of well-meant paw swatting and finding out that the cat very much loved to climb up his scales or pretend to be catching the stars drawn over his whole body, he decided that his search was finally over.

______ Happily he returned to his clan - only to find that it was gone. Perplexed, worried and scared he searched the empty caves for a long time, his warm companion purring to ease his worries, and soon, he went out on yet another search: To find his clan, and his family. While it may take a while for him to accept other dragons into his life, perhaps one day him and his fluffy friend would manage to find someplace to belong once more, and maybe even help the dragon forget the cold glares and the cracked, empty egg of his sister.
