B I O G R A P H Y

______ Named after the poisonous flower, Iris keeps to himself. A traumatic past and an empathetic heart make him a bad conversationalist, and fairly moody to boot. His only solaces are his two obsessions, his flower garden and his library. One of the two reminds him of his childhood home in the shadow forests before his father attempted to exalt him, the other is his only interaction with the outside world. Papel is the only dragon to ever speak to Iris as his only passions are these two things, one of which he shares with her.

______ "Look! Arion, our eggs! They're hatching!"
"You think I care? There's a reason these are our last. I don't want any more deadweights walking around here anyways."
"..."
"Look, I don't wanna f***ing see 'em okay? Just... get 'em out of my sight. Kill 'em or... Send 'em to Sir Arcanist I guess. I'm gonna go see Ishara..."
...
"Oh! A Skydancer! And another! Both boys... I wonder what lays inside you, little one"
*Fury taps gently on the third unhatched egg.
"Ricky, and Draxxor. Oh what beautiful little babies you are! You both look just like your father, hopefully you don't share that bitter disposition though..."
*Fury laughs, her sons smile, wide mouthed, enamored with the beauty of their Imperial mother. Rickey cocked his head and opened his mouth wide open.
"Momma?"
"Yes, I'm Momma sweet Wisp. You're Rickey, and this is your brother Draxxor, and the dra-
Oh! It's hatching!"
*Fury smiled down at the dazed and abnormally small female Skydancer.
"Hello, Elena."
*The newborn blinked, not seeming to have realized she had hatched.
"Sister!!"
*Draxxor squealed and began to pounce on his newborn sister, before his mother caught him by the scales of his neck and placed him down gently next to her
"Draxxor, your sister too small to play. She's very fragile and you could hurt her."
*Elena stared at them both as if they were speaking in an alien tongue. Then, all of a sudden she opened her eyes wide at Draxxor and smiled.
"Sister!" She squealed
"NOOOOO I'm not a girl! Right momma?"
Fury laughed as she watched the hatchlings play. She was so glad none had seemed to inherit her mate's angry, spoiled disposition as many of her previous hatchlings had. Wispwillows were going extinct, and this was to be her last nest. She would have to say goodbye to them, but she knew in her heart she would do everything in her power to send them to good homes before she did it. She just had to keep them from the Dreameaters.

"Oh, Fury, your eg-"
*Fury rushed over to the Pearlcatcher, forcing his mouth shut with her large claws. He opened his eyes wide, and then relaxed them. She let go of his mouth tentatively
"Oh, I see. Arion doesn't want them, does he?"
"No... No he doesn't. But look how sweet and innocent they are, I can't bring myself to the thought of exalting them."
"No, no... Me neither. And I can see one has great magical potential. The big one one, bring it to me"
*Fury cupped Rickey in her claws and hands him gently to Katsura
"Oh my. What a deep pink... Much like the Arcanist himself. This one, he can't leave this land. He will grow to become a great magician."
"But... What if Arion finds him?"
"He won't. Give him to me, and-"
*Katsura pauses and looks sadly down at Elena and Draxxor, who look sad and confused
"You know they'll need to be separated. They'll be safer that way."
"I know... I just don't want to see them hurt or... God knows what..."
"I'll protect them. I'll teach this one magic and the other two... I'll have my mate train them in fighting."
*Both looked sadly down at the den floor
"Goodbye babies... Ricky, Draxxor, Elena... I love you. Draxxor, protect Elena, won't you?"
"Momma? Momma?? MOMMAAA!!!!"
"Hush, little one. Your momma will always be watching over you."
Soon after, Ricky was sent to apprentice and live under a friend of Katsura's in a neighboring tribe. He vowed to never mate or to venture out of the clan so that he would not encounter his father, who would've killed him given to opportunity. To Arion, his last three were unlucky. Elena grew up to be intelligent and beautiful, but weak and quiet. She loved her brothers and they loved her, but she was especially close to Draxxor. She and Draxxor got bought by a Shadow Clan, who promised to treat them well. The siblings had barely settled down in their new home before Elena's weak spirit succumbed to the power of the Dreameaters. She slowly parted from her brother, and he escaped from the now-hostile clan to live in the realm of the Lightweaver where he encountered Velare. There he took the name of Iris, as is true name caused too much trauma.
