After traveling for days on end, pumping her wings endlessly despite how much her eyes watered and her muscles burned, Aeria could finally catch a glimpse of land (hopefully it wasn't just exhaustion-induced hallucinations). As soon as she reached the shoreline she collapsed onto the pink sands, trembling and panting. When her friends had dared her to fly all the way from the Southern Icefield to the Starfall Isles in one flight, she didn't realize how difficult it would actually be, especially for a Mirror. She would feel perfectly fine if she never had to fly again. After taking a long, much-needed rest on the gentle shore of the island, the Ice dragoness finally stood and stretched her legs. Her exploration could finally begin. For a week or two she bounded and galloped through the Starwood Strand, climbed effortlessly up and down the peculiar plateaus of the Focal Point, and explored the Crystalspines with glee. Using her legs was much more her style than using her wings. Finally, she came across a small town that seemed as good of a place as any to gather provisions before her next journey, and the growling in her stomach reminded her to look for a place to eat along the way. She was welcomed into the city gates by a dragon with metallic scales and wide smile, and as she passed him he greeted, "Welcome to the Z'Arduani." She thought that was a strange name for a clan, but she was too hungry to bother thinking up a witty response. So instead she simply made her way to the bazaar and sneakily swiped some fresh parcels from the butcher's stand. She snagged some jewelry off of the gold-sales cart too, just in case she needed to pawn it off for something of greater value later on. She didn't bother to introduce herself for anyone, because she had seen enough of the Arcane Region for now. Without saying goodbye, she passed back through the gates and continued on her journey.

Quote:
Uh-oh, looks like this sly pickpocket wandered a little too far from her home lair (EmeraldCat, #401694), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!
