Biography
When Amara was a child, she knew nothing. Or at least, that is what they tell her today. She lived a most unusual childhood, one that no dragon should ever have to go through. She hatched in the Stormcatcher's domain, a land of order and tension. Still, she remembers her mother's eyes, her father's voice. They were not from around there. But there she was raised, and there she learned that the world is not often kind, and dragonkind are not often kind to each other. In her family, she knew love. She knew peace. She knew a way out of the world of constant fighting that she saw all around her, dragons harassing other dragons simply for the sake of maintaining order. Sometimes, dragons from other flights got hurt. But not her. Officials looked into her eyes and believed that she truly belonged.
Her father, on the other hand, had never fit in throughout his entire life. He had dabbled in the dark arts, and gazed into the eyes of the remnants of the shade. Somehow, throughout all of that, he still managed to be one of the most earnest and kind dragons she ever got to meet. His facade of strength and menace was nothing but that, in order to get by in a world dominated by strength. She still remembers how she used to lay on his back as he prepared minor wonders for her, wonders the rest of dragonkind would never find acceptable.
Her mother had lived in the Stormkeeper's domain for as long as she could remember, and was a librarian at heart. A strong and amiable Coatl, she was one of the strongest dragons Amara ever knew for her mental fortitude and her sheer intelligence. SHe had so many stories that she would whisper to her children when the fighting and screaming outside grew to be too much to handle. But her father was a wild soul, one from the jungles of the gladekeeper's domain. He grew restless and uncertain in the realm of lightning, and would travel the world, sometimes bringing his children with him on his journeys.
And so Amara spent her days, bouncing on her mother's back or tinkering with her father, traveling through lightning farms and vast jungle, living a life of peace with her siblings. Throughout her life, she alone grew closest to her father, and was allowed to stay up with him far later than any of her other siblings.
