Biography
The restless soul of a pirate who died at sea
Meergeist was one hell of a pirate, sailing across the sea and attacking every ship that had the unfortunate luck of being spotted. She was a trickster and cunning adversary. Her crew never doubted her doing and feared her. Never they would have dared to mutiny and the poor souls who did, ended up brutally killed and left to the sharks.
She had a knack for stealing gold and jewels. But she also loved to just attack ships by surprise and sink them for the fun of it. Her name was unknown to many, and people started adressing her by the name of Meergeist, meaning sea phantom, because of how her ship would seemingly appear out of the thick fog just like a ghost.
Her life was cut short when she ended up attracting the love & fury of a Sea Wraith ... That during a tremendous storm near the shores of the Shifting Expanse sank her vessel and she alongside it, never to be seen again... alive. Her whole crew died. She drowned... But the Wraith chained her soul so that she would be forever roaming the seas aboard of her now phantom vessel. Forever his, and never leaving the ocean.
Now stories tell of the phantom of the infamous pirate. Appearing during the most eerie and calm of nights, when the moon is hidden by the clouds, and in the worst of storms, screaming and screeching in a twisted tempo with the wind and thunder, while she sea roars and laughs at the fates of those who meet their doom by Meergeist's hands.
